Beautiful Black Babies

Beautiful black babies… I dont want to lose you, with these words I don’t want to confuse you I want to move you to a place of positive improvement if you follow the movement  

 

‘Cause your eyes see my vision my ears hear when you won’t listen I’m extra careful because it’s you that I care for 

 

And I know some of ya’ll have mothers and fathers that don’t want to be bothered ‘cause they was just too young when they had you… it wasn’t really love but because they had to

 

That’s why they cuss you out instead of smile this is the life of a unwanted child Being raised by sisters and brothers Thank God for the grandmothers that stepped in when you didn’t want her and left him

 

But the kids get too old for you to keep them in control… they end up on parole ’cause their childhood was stole 

 

Beautiful black babies I think I lost you and I don’t wanna cry, but I think I ought to… your world is so awful

 

You’re given chances and their not taken…  you don’t know love just filled with hate, pain and unseen scars… do you even know who you are? Can you live up to your full potential? Yes! ‘Cause it was God who sent you 

 

But all your life you watched daddy get high you don’t want to get there you want to get by

 

Nobody ever praised you so you look for love and let the streets raise you… you’re angry when mom puts her man ahead of you… treats him better than you

 

But I came here today to give you this fact no matter what you are… you are beautifully black ‘cause there is a God that’s a father to the fatherless in any situation and regardless of who you are or where you came from 

 

He knows your heart and you’re the same one that hurt… that cried, even thought about suicide… but you didn’t die… you survived, through the torture and teasing He kept you here for a reason

 

Through His grace and your faith you can do all things through Christ… you was blind, but now you have sight 

 

He picked you up and turned you in a circle and no weapon formed against you will hurt you or prosper

 

Nothing in this world can stop you or block you from being faithful in His Likeness he created you… let Him save you … like he saved me… give glory to God and my beautiful black babies
