The Black Political Review

This is pathetic… I liked Michael Steele too and thought this man stood on principal. I thought Steele talked tough and meant what he said when he opened his pie hole.

Steele (like Pres. Obama) made history being elected Chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC) a few weeks ago. He’s been bold (in the press) and is trying to repair the so-called Republican brand.

However, since appearing on the D. L. Hughley CNN program  Steele has been forced to bow down to the mighty Rush Limbaugh over comments he made during that appearance.

“My intent was not to go after Rush – I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh,” Steele said in a telephone interview. “I was maybe a little bit inarticulate. … There was no attempt on my part to diminish his voice or his leadership.”

“I went back at that tape and I realized words that I said weren’t what I was thinking,” Steele said. “It was one of those things where I thinking I was saying one thing, and it came out differently. What I was trying to say was a lot of people … want to make Rush the scapegoat, the bogeyman, and he’s not.”

D. L. Hughley was on the Tom Joyner Morning Show today talking about this event. He believes that Steele is finished and will be forced out soon. Hughley also questioned why the called him Steele because he fold like aluminum.
